POSITION:  Plant Technician:

Entry level position available in our Kennedy Meadows exchange.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

Applicant will be assisting with outside plant cable and facilities additions and maintenance, switching and transmission equipment maintenance, and maintenance of the exchange offices buildings and grounds.  Willingness to relocate, general experience in basic electricity and electronics (AC/DC), mechanical repair, operating excavation equipment, plumbing, and basic computer skills is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to work independently and desire to work “face-to-face” with customers.

Willingness to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.

Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted California Class “C” driver’s license.  A class “A” driver’s license might need to be obtained in the future.

Physical Requirements:

Climbing ladders; lifting 50-100 pounds on a regular basis; pushing, reaching, bending and stooping; manual dexterity; good sense of balance; and must have the ability to perceive differences in wire and cable colors.
